Game publisher and developer Playlogic today announced more new releases. The company will invest between 12 and 15 million euro in the development of games next year. The titles are a strong addition to the scheduled releases. In February/March the first four Playlogic titles will be available worldwide: Cyclone Circus (PS2), Xyanide (Xbox Live/GBA/mobile), Alpha Black Zero (PC) and Airborne Troops (PS2/PC). The new titles will be released by the and of 2004 and in 2005.

Tantalus Interactive today confirmed the release of three new titles, rounding out a stellar year for the company. Tantalus CEO Tom Crago chose the opening day of the annual Australian Game Developer’s Conference (AGDC) in Melbourne to make the announcement. “Gamers will be well aware of all of these titles, but with the occasion of the AGDC it’s fitting to set these releases within the context of the Australian game development community,” Crago said. “As an industry here we’ve gathered a lot of momentum in recent years, and at Tantalus we’re very proud of the contribution we’ve been able to make.”

Eidos announces it has signed a development deal with Guerrilla. Formerly known as Lost Boys Games, Guerrilla is developing a 3rd person action game for Eidos which will be released on PlayStation 2, Xbox and PC in summer 2004.

Handmark, publisher of software for Palm OS and Windows Mobile platforms for handheld devices, has signed a content publishing agreement with Sprint to provide games that can be downloaded wirelessly through PCS Vision to PCS Vision Smart Devices such as the new PCS Smart Device Treo 600 by Handspring. Currently eleven titles from Handmark will be available for purchase including Monopoly, Scrabble, Warfare Incorporated, Yahtzee, Battleship, MobileDB, and others. Titles will cost between $9.99 and $29.99 and once purchased will simply be added to the customer's PCS invoice.

Metro3D, Inc. today announced a new colossal title to its 2003 line- up, Dinosaur Hunting exclusively for the Xbox. At the Tokyo Game Show in Japan today, Konami of America Inc., announced that Suikoden IV, the newest installment in the popular role-playing game (RPG) series, will be released in the U.S. for PS2 in Fall 2004. Hailed as one of the greatest RPGs ever made, the series is renowned for its depth of gameplay, immersive storytelling and expansive fantasy world. The Suikoden series first appeared seven years ago on the PlayStation, followed by Suikoden II in 1999. Last year, Konami released the critically acclaimed Suikoden III for PS2.

SEGA of America today announced that "Nightshade" is the official name for the upcoming PS2 title formerly known as "Kunoichi" (it remains "Kunoichi" in Japan) as well as the release of new screenshots. Konami of America, Inc. today announced that its hit psychological horror videogame series, Silent Hill, will be released worldwide as a major motion picture. Production company Davis Films will produce the feature film adaptation of Konami's popular franchise. Produced by Konami Computer Entertainment Tokyo, Inc. (KCET), the Silent Hill games thrust players into a nightmarish world where they must unravel twisted storylines and battle grotesque creatures and terrifying monsters.

NCsoft today announced the latest chapter to its massively multiplayer game, Lineage. The new epic, called Lineage: Dark Conquest (www.lineage.com), is a series of six new episodes to be released over the next three years. The first new episode, Light and Shadow, goes live on North American servers today. Lineage first launched in 1998 and has grown to more than three-million active subscribers worldwide.
