Sony announced the upcoming availability of the v4.00 system software update for PSP, adding Google Internet search directly to the XMB (XrossMediaBar) interface, and the ability to change viewing speed during playback of videos stored on your Memory Stick PRO Duo.

Sony has rolled out the v2.35 PS3 system software update, and the relatively minor update improves stability of some PS3 titles, but unfortunately did not give any details whatsoever. SCEA revealed that the PSP will be getting a new firmware update soon. The v3.95 update includes the ability to customize how the buttons are assigned while playing PSone games on your PSP and you will now also be able to quit Remote Play and choose to turn off your PS3 or leave it on after quitting, useful for when you are downloading and want to quit Remote Play, but still want your download to continue on the PS3.
