a few years ago Gearbox's Randy Pitchfork revealed that it had met with Hollywood director Michael Mann to talk about Heat (starring Al Pacino & Robert de Niro), but in
a recent interview Pitchfork stated that development is on "indefinite hold." Due to the studio having several other projects in the works, and its recent growth, Pitchfork believes Gearbox is at capacity and while hopes are to revisit the project at a later date, if another publisher/developer is interested, they are willing to talk.
