Microsoft revealed its latest financial results and announced revenue of $13.37 billion for the quarter ended June 30, 2007, a 13% increase over the same period last year. On the flip side, the games division recorded a $2 billion loss, mainly due to the Xbox 360 warranty policies and refunds.

Koei announced that Dynasty Warriors 6 (Shin Sangoku Musou 5) is in development for the PS3. Apart from the improved graphics and animations, not much more is known at this point. Scheduled for a fall release in Japan, DW 6 will be playable at the Tokyo Game Show this September.

Epic's VP Mark Rein revealed they have been served with a lawsuit by
Too Human developer Silicon Knights, but he refused to comment further on the matter, as advised by the legal department. Silicon Knights' president Denis Dyack, however, claims Epic's breach of contract forced them to proceed this way because "Epic simply refuses to acknowledge the inadequacies of the Unreal Engine 3 code it provides to its licensees," resulting in serious financial loss to SK and other developers.
