Microsoft announced revenue of $14.40 billion for the quarter ended March 31, 2007, a 32% compared to same period last year, driving record profits with operating income of $6.59 billion and net income of $4.93 billion. However the game division posted a drop in revenue (from $1.182 billion to $929 million), but also lost less money ($402 million to $315 million).

Elite Beat Agents, known in Japan as Moero! Nekketsu Rhythm Damashii Osu! Tatakae! Ôendan 2, promises multiplayer support for up to 4 players, but other details are not available. Originally titled Osu! Tatakae! Ôendan, adapted for Western consumption and renamed to Elite Beat Agents, the sequel is scheduled in Japan for 2007.

Nintendo has acquired 80% of the shares in development studio Monolith, previously owned by Namco Bandai, which still retains a 16% stake. Currently employing 110 people, Monolith was founded in 1999 and is best known for Baten Kaitos and Xenosaga franchises, not to be confused with F.E.A.R / Condemned's Monolith Productions.
