Earlier today Warner Brothers Pics. announced that it has signed the Hughes brothers to direct a postapocalyptic Western, The Book of Eli. While that in its own right does not have much meaning, the script The Book of Eli was written by Gary Whitta, who, according to Hollywood sources, is currently "writing Diablo for Legendary Pictures and Blizzard Entertainment." At least it's not Uwe Bolle ...

K2 Network announced a series of promotions to honor Memorial Day Weekend for its online military Free2Play shooter War Rock. EA announced an all new Wii exclusive intellectual property, Boogie, a unique music/rhythm-based game that takes advantage of the Wii controls to get gamers off their couch, playing and dancing to a new beat.

Novalogic is secretly working on a series of titles based on the CBS drama The Unit, which in turn is based on Eric Haney's novel Inside Delta Force. The Unit: Operation Acid Gambit will be the first title according to sources inside the development team, and will make use of an all-new engine, as well as new animation software. An official announcement will be made later this year, but the premise of the game is that your mission will be to fix the mistakes Delta Force has made, and change history.
