Sixteen Tons Entertainment has released a demo (German) for their paintball game Gotcha. No specific details as to what it contains are available. This demo is in German but since it's an action game, there shouldn't be many problems. Gotcha features no real weapons but air compressed weapons and color ammunition, also known as paintball guns (

The player will play as Sarge, now an army of one, against the whole of the Tan Army, under the leadership of Colonel Malice. All of the Heroes have been wiped out in a brutal Tan ambush and the Tan have found a new weapon of mass destruction that can reduce a platoon of soldiers into a mass of melted plastic. According to Computer And Video Games, Ubisoft has delayed Gearbox Software's WWII FPS Brothers in Arms. During a showcasing of BIA it was apparently revealed to them as C&VG reports : "It's a revelation that we've since had 100-percent confirmation on from publisher Ubisoft, the Xbox and PC iterations of the WWII FPS which were originally slated for October now due in Q1 2005." By Ubisoft delaying the PC & Xbox editions it would put the release dates approximately at the same time as the PS2 version.

Midway has released its
financial results for second quarter of 2004 in which it reveals that Inevitable Entertainment's Area 51 has been delayed and pushed back from its original fall 2004 release date to the first half of 2005. Reason for moving the release date back "crowded 2004 holiday season."
Earlier today Midway announced it signed a deal with Epic for Unreal Championship 2 which is now scheduled for February 2005.

BBC UK is reporting on a case where Rockstar's "Manhunt" is being blamed for a 17 year old going berserk on his friend. The parents of a boy who was murdered with a claw hammer by a friend have blamed a violent video game which the teenage killer was "obsessed" with. Warren Leblanc, 17, repeatedly stabbed 14-year-old Stefan Pakeerah after luring him to a Leicester park to steal from him on 27 February. Read the full story over at

Midway today announced a multi-year, multi-product agreement with Epic Games to publish three new videogames based on the popular Unreal franchise.
