When EA launched the multiplayer beta, fans went ballistic when it was revealed that certain weapons would only be available as premium DLC, even organizing a boycott of the game. EA/DiCE heard the outcry and revealed today that all weapons will be unlockable through leveling up, while people who buy the Gold edition have them from the outset.

The latest issue of GameInformer seems to have received inside information that EA/DICE are currently not only working on Battlefield 2142, but are also already in the process of creating a sequel to Battlefield Modern Combat, although the new title Battlefield: Bad Company will stricly be for next-gen consoles, and unlike its predecessor, will mostly be aimed at a singleplayer experience.
