NASCAR 2006 is expected somewhere in August and instead of the "you vs. the rest of the pack," it will now focus on team play. NASCAR 2006 will allow you to be part of a racing team, give commands, switching over to other cars in your team (especially useful in case you wreck your own ride), and of course slightly updated graphics. Your team members will either like or dislike you, depending on your action on the track.

Electronic Arts announced today that NASCAR SimRacing from the EA SPORTS brand is shipping for the PC. NASCAR SimRacing was developed by a dedicated PC production team for more than 18 months with the help of NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series drivers including Ryan Newman and Dale Earnhardt Jr. The drivers' contribution to the game assisted the team in producing the most realistic NASCAR PC simulation game to date.

Blackhole Motorsports has gotten word that EA will be releasing a Nascar SimRacing demo the week of the 17th. The cars in the demo will represent the 2004 Season artwork, but when the game releases, we will have a download available in the install that will update with all of the 2005 car art. Featuring two tracks (Indianapolis and Phoenix), and allowing you to make laps as Kurt Busch.
