Following their recent chart success with the million selling Stronghold series on PC, London-based developer, Firefly Studios, have catapulted their creativity into the not-so-distant future announcing, Space Colony, due for release this Fall on PC. Space Colony is best described as a space-based People Sim meets a City Builder. The player manages and nurtures a group of dysfunctional space dwellers colonising the most unearthly corners of the galaxy. Ubi Soft is pleased to announce that in conjunction with Nintendo, it will produce NINTENDO GAMECUBE playable demo disks to mark the launch of Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell on the console in June 2003. The demo will consist of an introductory trailer and one level from the Chinese Embassy 2 map in the game, where Sam Fisher must use his stealth abilities to the highest level. It will also include the unique Game Boy Advance connectivity features such as the radar, the wall mine and the sticky bomb.

CDV announces that "Combat Mission Beyond Overlord: Special Edition" for the PC is available in retail stores. Lauded by GameSpot as "one of the best war games ever made for the computer," "Combat Mission" combines turn-based and real-time tactical action. SEGA today announced that it will deliver its top-selling franchise of all time -- Sonic The Hedgehog -- to the largest audience of gamers worldwide, launching four new Sonic The Hedgehog games on all next-generation console and handheld platforms this fiscal year. The highly-anticipated "Sonic Heroes," an all-new title in the Sonic The Hedgehog series, will debut on the PlayStation2 computer entertainment system, Nintendo GameCube and the Xbox video game system from Microsoft. Midway Games Inc. announced today that Universal Pictures has obtained an option to the rights to develop the classic 1980s Spy Hunter videogame into a major live action motion picture.
