At Comic-con 2005, EA announced today that acclaimed comic writer, Mark Millar, and artist, Terry Dodson, will be joining the roster of top comic book talent, including Jae Lee, on the development of Marvel Nemesis: Rise of the Imperfects. The game features multiple Super Heroes from the Marvel Universe as well as a new set of characters created by EA called, "The Imperfects."

SOE's online auction site,
Station Exchange, has been in the pre-launch phase for a couple of weeks now and will officially launch on July 20. Yesterday the NDA for pre-launch participants was lifted and made the web site viewable to non-participants. Station Exchange provides players a secure method of buying and selling the right to use in game coin, items and characters in accordance with SOE's license agreement, rules and guidelines.

Atari is returning to the universe of "The Matrix" with a new game that lets players assume the role of actor Keanu Reeves' lead character Neo and relive his most important and memorable scenarios from the complete film trilogy, including the original film. Atari announced that it plans on shipping The Matrix: Path of Neo on November 15th, 2005.

revealed a few days ago, Majesco announced today that it is working a video game based on Marvel's popular cult Super Hero Ghost Rider. Currently under development by Climax Group, Ghost Rider is scheduled to ship in summer 2006 in conjunction with Sony Pictures/Marvel Studios' cinematic release starring Nicolas Cage as the Ghost Rider.

Not a big surprise considering its retail success, through an
interview with IGN, EA revealed that its DICE development studio is working on an expansion pack for its recently released multiplayer FPS sequel Battlefield 2. While the original game is being fought out between regular grunts, BF2: Special Forces will beef up all the classes to Special Forces and add 7-8 new night/day maps (smaller troop oriented, urban environment, airport map, missile launch facility etc.), gadgets (night vision and grappler/zipline, flashbang, tear gas), six new armies (Navy Seals, British SAS, Russian Spetznaz, MEC Special Forces and two insurgent groups), ten new vehicles, and twelve new base weapons. Battlefield 2: Special Forces is expected Fall of 2005.

The new game will follow the plot of the original "From Russia with Love" film, including the battle on the Orient Express and the boat chase sequence, but will expand the story with new action sequences. Microsoft announced that it has signed exclusive rights to develop and publish MMO games featuring Marvel Enterprises' super heroes, including Spider-man, the X-men and the Hulk. The deal covers massively multiplayer online (MMO) game titles developed for Microsoft's upcoming Xbox 360 and published by the game studio. The deal is Marvel's first MMO pact, and the first title is expected in 2008.

Square Enix announced today that Fullmetal Alchemist 2: Curse of the Crimson Elixir is on sale today, nationwide. This fast-paced action RPG prequel to Fullmetal Alchemist and the Broken Angel is the second installment in the Fullmetal Alchemist series.
