Capcom today released the ultimate 2D brawler with Capcom Fighting Evolution for the Xbox. Capcom has brought together popular characters from five classic titles in the Street Fighter and other Capcom series, for intense two-on-two player battles. Capcom Fighting Evolution will also allow players to put their skills to the test in cross continent match ups via the Xbox Live online gaming service.

By now everybody knows Microsoft's next gen console will use an ATI GPU instead of the current NVIDIA powered Xbox. The question on a lot of people's minds was, will there be backwards compatibility? While Sony and Nintendo already announced that its new consoles will be able to play previously released titles, Microsoft was quiet on the matter and only at E3 did we get a vague "best-selling Xbox titles would work on the Xbox 360."
1UP finally got some more information as it seems that Microsoft has bought a technology license from NVIDIA to allow the X360 to emulate using the IBM PowerPC CPU's. Several "patches" will ship on the X360's HD at launch, while and others will be made available through Xbox Live at a later date.

Actor and self proclaimed gamer Vin Diesel is said to have signed on to
star as Agent 47 in the upcoming Hitman movie, in the works over at 20th Century Fox. No director has been assgined yet but the movie will be produced by Charles Gordon (Daybreak Productions, Die Hard) and Adrian Askarieh (Prime Universe Productions, Spy Hunter), with a helping hand from Eidos' Paul Baldwin. It is also rumored that Vin Diesel's game production company Tigon Studios is in talks with Eidos and IO Interactive regarding the Hitman license and might lend his voice to a future Hitman title, its release coinciding with the aforementioned movie.
