Namco today announced that United Media has awarded Namco the interactive entertainment publishing rights to "Peanuts," the renowned comic strip created by Charles M. Schulz. The partnership allows Namco to create and publish games featuring "Peanuts" characters and properties, including Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Peppermint Patty, Linus and Pigpen for all current and upcoming game platforms through 2009.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has awarded Majesco Entertainment a licensing agreement for video game rights to the Warner Bros. Animation Teen Titans television series, based on DC Comics characters, airing on Cartoon Network and Kids’ WB. Developed by Artificial Mind & Movement (A2M), the exciting superhero action adventure published by Majesco and licensed by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, is scheduled for release later this year on GBA and in 2006 for play on the Xbox, PS2, and GameCube.

Viva Media and 10tacle studios announced today that GTR: FIA GT Racing Game is ready to release in the United States and will ship to major retail locations on May 3rd, 2005. GTR is the new ultra-realistic simulation based on the FIA GT Championship racing series featuring the most exciting sport cars of the world as well as the prestigious "24 Hours of Spa" race.

Imperial Glory promises to be the most extensive strategy game ever, offering an in-depth management model along with graphically stunning real-time land and naval battles in full 3D. 2K Games today announced that Stronghold 2 for PC has shipped and is currently available in retail stores across North America. Stronghold 2 will be available in European stores on April 22nd.

Not much of a secret for the past year, but 2K Games today officially announced Serious Sam II, the much-anticipated return of Sam "Serious" Stone to PC and the Xbox.

Akella today announced that it is heading towards North America and will be attending the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) held in Los Angeles, California May 18-20, 2005. The latest Famitsu issue has the first details for Capcom's newest title in the Onimusha series. Expected spring 2006 in Japan, Dawn of Dreams is situated in 1598 and will have several new features and additions over previous titles, such as a new camera system, updated graphics and optimized gameplay mechanics. Last week Capcom put a countdown clock on its Japanese website, indicating an announcement was coming Saturday. Whether this was meant for Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams is not clear at the moment. Matrix Games and Koios Works today announced that the latest game in the Tin Soldiers series, Tin Soldiers: Julius Caesar has officially “Gone Gold” and will be available for sale from the Matrix Games website within a week. Caesar has several major improvements including a full 3D camera and non-linear campaigns.
