Earlier today we announced Serious Sam hitting gold status (the US version only) and is on its way to appear in stores somewhere in November. Now we got some new nifty screens to show off the multiplayer action (up to 8 players, xbox's networked)... Njoy!

Croteam's web site has been updated with the announcement that the Xbox port of Serious Sam has gone gold. The wait is now over. At least for the US version. The US Xbox version of Serious Sam is officially approved and it is going into gold mastering. European version still needs to go over the approval.

Video game publisher Gotham Games announced the launch of the official Web site for Serious Sam, which enters the next-gen console market this fall exclusively on the Microsoft Xbox. Serious Sam puts players in control of Sam "Serious" Stone, the only man that has what it takes to repel the alien forces determined to turn planet Earth into their personal trash can.

Now that Sam "Serious" Stone has the firepower, It's time to take out the trash. PC.IGN.COM reports that Serious Sam 3, is apparently far into development and scheduled for release in 2003. Here is a clip:

The new game, Serious Sam 2, ironically now possibly referred to either factually or mistakenly by reps as Serious Sam 3, is apparently far into development and scheduled to hit in 2003, completely compatible with the Xbox's own Live multiplayer setup. Even fewer details are known of the PC version, but assumedly it is in concurrent development, since musings of that one have been around since well before the Second Encounter even hit.

Croteam has updated their website with some more details on the upcoming Xbox version of their smash title Serious Sam. Turns out that it will NOt be a mere conversion/port from the PC game but a WHOLE lot more than that. Most interesting is the fact that they will incorporate the 2 Serious Sam PC games into 1 Xbox version and the multiplayer will be something to look out for as well .. read more for details ... Gotham Games seems to be going for a strong start after earlier today bringing us goodies for Conflict Desert Storm they now gave us some screens for Croteam's Serious Sam. After Sam terrorized the PC he is now aiming for the Xbox. Njoy the goodies!

Gathering of Developers (subsidiary of Take2) and Croatian-based based development team Croteam announce that Serious Sam, a landmark title in the first person shooter video game genre, will now be available on the Xbox platform.

A new patch for Serious Sam: The Second Encounter is available now. This patch, which brings the Croteam FPS game up to version 1.07, fixes a number of issues and adds a few new features such as a skeletal animation system. Cube-Europe reports that Take-Two Interactive announced the planning to release Serious Sam 2 and Smuggler's Run 2 on the GameCube. The games will be released somewhere mid 2002.

Computer and video game publisher Gathering of Developers, a subsidiary of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc., along with PC developer, Croteam, announced today that "Serious Sam: The Second Encounter" has gone gold. The game is due to arrive on store shelves February 5, 2002.

Croteam just released a small fix for the recent released demo, The Second Encounter. This 'fix' is for people that run a dedicated server. Here is a spot from the article:

GameSpot has putted up some new information about that Serious Sam: The Second Encounter, has been pushed back to Spring of 2002. Here is a spot from the article (Full story here).

Although Serious Sam: The Second Encounter is close to completion according to Croteam, a representative for Take-Two Interactive told GameSpot that the game's release has been pushed back to spring 2002.
