Digital Jesters is gearing up for the release of TrackMania, its mental racing-cum-puzzle game, with the news that a special beta trial launches today in which users the world over can download a trial version of the game for free.

Digital Jesters is preparing for the imminent launch of its blistering PC racer TrackMania with the launch of the game's very own community Website. Located at TrackManiaGame.com, the online resource will be the port of call for those keen to know more about the genre-busting racing game. Screens and desktop themes are online now – and the forums are open for those eager to discuss track-building theory. But most importantly, the Website will be the only place for users to download the demo – which is due online on the 1st November.

These days, racing sims tend to come in three flavours: boring, boring and more boring. Some developers are happiest encouraging users to fiddle with gear ratios and big ends. But not French coder Nadeo - its forthcoming, blisteringly fast PC racer TrackMania, due to be published in the UK by Digital Jesters on November 28th 2003, takes the computerised Highway Code, rips it up and chucks it out the rear window.
