Ubisoft Europe is pleased to announce that it is extending its publishing agreement with Sony Online Entertainment to introduce two new games for the PSP: Field Commander and Untold Legends: The Warrior’s Code. Ubisoft today announced that it has signed an agreement with TimeSplitters' Free Radical Design to develop a yet un-titled next-gen & PC action game based on new IP for release in fiscal year 2006-2007.

RTL Enterprises' is bringing its next titles in the Ski Alpin frachise o the PS2 and PC this coming November. Ski Alpin 2006 will feature new graphics, soundeffects, and more animations to increase the reality and immersion of the game. Multiplayer will support up to twelve players, hot-seat, online and LAN.

Without much exposure, Rockstar's website reveals that the controversial developer is expanding its UK operations with an all new development studio in the heart of London, which up until now was mainly the European publishing headquarters. Rockstar London is looking for artists, animators, programmers and senior network programmers, which could indicate a nextgen project with built-in online capabilities. Whether this new studio is an acquisition of an existing developer, or any word on its projects, was not disclosed.

EA and DICE today announced that the expansion pack for Battlefield 2 is now shipping to retail outlets and available via download. Battlefield 2: Special Forces brings the intensity and excitement of its predecessors into the realm of covert ops with the latest, most technologically advanced vehicles and weapons systems available to man.

The story for the game was inspired by the H.G. Wells alien invasion classic novel written in 1898, but is retold within the context of a contemporary setting. The viewpoint character is a law student currently serving as a helicopter gunner in the National Guard. The game begins on the fourth day of the Invasion, with the player ferrying a Special Forces team into Downtown Manhattan for a mission that will decide the outcome of the War.
