Last year Take Two announced closure of its Vienna studio, responsible for creating titles such as Max Payne 1/2 for consoles, GTA 3, Vice city etc. Since then it has been real quiet but now a new studio has emerged from the ashes as Hannes Seifert, Niki Laber, and Jürgen Goeldner team up once again with Games That Matter. No current projects are revealed, except for "a visionary game production business model."

In an
interview with CNET, Sony's CEO made a statement that, if true, indicates the European PS3 launch might be facing a delay after all. Originally scheduled for March, Howard Stringer commented "We have got the European launch in April, which is very important to us." Unless this is merely a miscommunication Europe will have to wait yet another month extra.
UPDATE:Sony Europe President David Reeves confirmed again that the PS3 is still on for a March release, Stringer's statement was a mishap.

In a somewhat surprising move, it seems that the long time Tony Hawk developer Neversoft may have taken over development of the Guitar Hero franchise. Harmonix, known for the first 2 Guitar Hero titles, but also Karaoke Revolution, is rumored to move its resources to an all-new IP.
Neversoft is recruiting for the 3rd title in the franchise, one of the positions being a PS3 Graphics Engineer, indicating a move from PS2 to Sony's nextgen console.

Battlestations: Midway follows the story of naval recruit Henry Walker, whose first assignment as a gunner at Pearl Harbor is the starting point of an incredible career at the heart of the US Pacific Fleet in 1942.
