2009 Spike Video Game Awards Reveals Slew Of New Titles

At the 2009 Spike Video Game Awards a slew of new titles were unveiled, with very little details actually announced. Activision announced that it is working with United Front, known for ModNation Racers, on a new installment of its open world crime/action series True Crime, this time set in Hong Kong 2K Games is reviving its a special ops series with Spec Ops: The Line, a multiplatform 3rd person action game set in Dubai involving a big sandstorm. LucasArts was rumored to unveil a new Star Wars game, and while many people thought it would be a new MMO, it instead revealed a sequel to Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, with the sequel set right after the original with Galen "Starkiller" Marek returning.

'Green Day: Rock Band' (ALL) Announced

Batman: Arkham Asylum is a 3rd-person action game powered by the Unreal Engine 3, that exposes players to a unique, dark and atmospheric adventure that takes them to the depths of Arkham Asylum – Gotham's psychiatric hospital for the criminally insane. While details are still unknown, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announced the sequel to Batman: Arkham Asylum as the VGA awards.
