Gore Verbinski has long expressed his interest in doing the Bioshock movie, revealed a while back, but apparently he believes so much in the project that the Pirates of the Caribbean director has turned down Walt Disney Pictures to work on the 4th installment in the series. The film adaptation of 2K's action game will begin production in 2010, and Universal Pictures has tasked John Logan (The Aviator, Star Trek: Nemesis) to write the screenplay, while BioShock creator Ken Levine is consulting.
