'The Caligula Effect: Overdose' (ALL) Introduces Fresh Faces to its Ensemble - Trailer

by Rainier on Oct. 18, 2018 @ 10:39 a.m. PDT

The Caligula Effect: Overdose is a JPRG in which players will follow the exploits of the Go-Home Club, a tight-knit group of Kishimai High School students who've discovered that their lives are nothing more than a virtual charade.

If you could enter a virtual world, devoid of misery and filled with comfort, would you take the chance? Be warned, however: things are not as idyllic as they seem in The Caligula Effect: Overdose

Some people would do anything to run away from life's problems. In The Caligula Effect: Overdose, the line between fact and fiction becomes blurred when people escape from the real world into a beautiful realm called Mobius.

Mobius. An idyllic world that exists for the sake of letting people forget about the pain and problems of reality. In this world created by a sentient vocaloid program, u (Mu), reality and fantasy has become blurred, allowing people to relive their high school years in bliss. Yet in this seemingly beautiful and perfect world, as you begin to remember fragments of memories from the real world, you realize something is wrong...

Escape from this false paradise with your fellow students and return to reality in The Caligula Effect: Overdose!

Ayana Amamoto and Eiji Biwasaka are two new members of the Go-Home Club, a group dedicated to leaving Mobius and returning to reality. Ayana, a second-year student, detests men and cannot be near them. Eiji is a third-year upperclassman with a penchant for business.

The Ostinato Musicians—μ's composers—see Stork and Kuchinashi joining their ranks. Stork is an odd individual who loves peeping on women and has the power of mimicry. Kuchinashi is calm and doesn't have much to say, relying instead on the gas mask-like device covering her mouth.

Check out the above trailer to meet the new playable female protagonist!
