'Hyper Scape' (ALL) Season 3 Next Month, Brings Revamped World Map - Trailer

by Rainier on Feb. 25, 2021 @ 4:44 p.m. PST

Hyper Scape is a free-to-play fast-paced urban battle royale FPS that takes place in the distant future of 2054, where up to 100 Contenders descend upon the virtual city of Neo-Arcadia to engage in action-packed and fast-paced matches to be crowned champion.

Hyper Scape was designed from the ground up as an intense, vertical and fast-paced battle royale experience. Three-player squads and solo players can dive into the futuristic virtual city of Neo- Arcadia to engage in dynamic firefights, quickly transitioning from narrow streets to open rooftops and deadly interiors.

Hyper Scape introduces Hacks, abilities that players can loot in the world the same way they do weapons. Hacks grant offensive and defensive capabilities to suit all playstyles. Laying down a mine, seeking an enemy, protecting the squad with a big wall or turning invisible to sneak up on opponents are just a few examples of the Hacks players can combine and swap effortlessly. All Hacks and weapons can be upgraded through the Fusion mechanic to produce more powerful iterations of the pre-existing item.

Hyper Scape innovates and twists the battle royale formula in many ways, such as the unpredictable Decay which dissolves the map of Neo-Arcadia into different patterns, or the unique Echo mechanic that keeps players active in the battle even when they’re down. At the end of a Hyper Scape match, the climatic showdown phase starts when the Hyper Scape crown spawns on the map. Players have two different ways to claim victory, either by picking up and carrying the crown for 45 seconds or by being the last player or squad standing.

Hyper Scape Season 3: Shadow Rising will launch on March 11 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S.

In Season 3, Hyper Scape will introduce exclusive content including a revamped map, a new hack, new story elements, a new 100-tier Battle Pass, and new customization items.

New Gameplay Content Cominh With Season 3

During this season, players will get the chance to test their speed and skill in a revamped Neo Arcadia 2.0 map, and try a new Deployable Hack, the Firewall, which creates a barrier to block incoming fire while allowing the player and their squad to shoot through.

Featuring new key landmarks, more diversified terrain, and more identifiable zones for players to traverse, Neo Arcadia 2.0 will challenge our veteran players to keep up the pace with newcomers jumping into it for the first time.

New Game Features

Season 3 will introduce a new 2D Hub Flow in the main menu optimized to offer a much faster and more interactive experience, allowing players to view their full squad with their selected outfits and use the Locker and Shop, all while matchmaking. Less time waiting between games means more chances to win the crown!

In Season 3, Hyper Scape will be restructured to feature three always-on Game Modes:

  • Crown Rush Squad – 60 players, ranked
  • Crown Rush Solo – 60 players, unranked
  • Team Deathmatch 6v6, unranked

Season 3 Story: A Shadow Temple Rises In Hyper Scape

Despite Prisma Dimensions’ assurances that everything is under control, strange anomalies continue to plague Neo Arcadia. The mysterious floating structures that appeared after the Blackout have coalesced into a temple that floats high above the city skyline. Basilisk is the first contender to find a way up to it.

Inside, Basilisk confronts a primal force of the Hyper Scape: Tower. Tower claims it (he?) has lost pieces of himself and charges Basilisk with recovering them in exchange for power and glory. Basilisk recruits a new face, the roguish hacker Huo Shu, to raid Prisma HQ for one of these Fragments. Meanwhile, Prisma’s own forces, under the cold hand of Nikita and his new enforcer, Bai Hu, prepare to eradicate these anomalies in any way they can.

Every week, players can collect new Memory Shards to dive deeper into Season 3’s story and lore. Additionally, Basilisk and Tower’s story will be featured in Issue 3 of the Hyper Scape Comics, released in chapters during Season 3.

Hyper Scape is fun to play and rewarding to watch. Developed in partnership with Twitch, the Hyper Scape Crowncast Twitch extension will entertain viewers by letting them impact the game in real time, creating unprecedented interaction between streamers and their fans. Viewers will also have a real-time impact on the battle by voting on events that affect all contenders within a match, such as low gravity or infinite ammo.

Hyper Scape Season One also includes new customization items through its Battle Pass. This Battle Pass offers a free and a premium track and features 100 tiers of exclusive cosmetic items to unlock during the Season. The premium track of the Battle Pass is available for 950 Bitcrowns, the in-game currency. Players get Bitcrowns by simply playing the game, or by purchasing packs of Bitcrowns with real money on the Ubisoft or first party stores. Similar to the Open Beta, viewers can progress their Battle Pass simply by watching Hyper Scape streams on Twitch with the Hyper Scape Crowncast extension enabled. Additional customization items will be available through the in-game shop.

Hyper Scape is available for PC, Xbox One and PS4, with PS5 and Xbox Series X versions to follow at a later time.
