Neon White features a hellishly clever story that proves it's never too late to ask for forgiveness.
In Neon White gamers play as White, an assassin hand picked from Hell to compete with other demon slayers for a chance to live permanently in Heaven. Since True Believers can’t kill anyone, he, along with the other Neons, are tasked with dealing with an evil demon infestation. Using magic playing cards that transform into weapons, the Neons compete with one another for a chance to win the Mechanical Halo, a device that will allow them to stay indefinitely.
Neon White uses a light card-based combat system, wherein each “Soul Card” card represents a limited-use weapon that can be discarded to activate a special movement ability (Dash, Jump, Stomp). New cards are revealed by defeating demons or finding them in treasure chests placed around the world. Assassins must balance using Soul Cards as attacks or discarding them for movement abilities. The only way to increase their Neon Rank is by earning medals for fast times!
Annapurna Interactive has released the official cast list for Angel Matrix and Ben Esposito’s Neon White, an upcoming lightning fast first-person action game about exterminating demons in Heaven.
The Neon White cast list includes Steve Blum (Cowboy Bebop, Star Wars Rebels, Wolverine and the X-Men, Transformers Prime), Alicyn Packard (Rugrats, The Tom & Jerry Show, Yo-Kai Watch, Space Racers), Courtney Lin (Planet Power, 400 to Oahu, BuzzFeed Murder Mystery Stories), Ian Jones-Quartey (OK K.O.! Let's Be Heroes, Steven Universe, Bravest Warriors, nockFORCE), SungWon Cho (Barry, Truth Be Told, Cookie Run Kingdom), Zeno Robinson (The Owl House, My Hero Academia, BAYMAX!), Salli Saffioti (Watchmen, Resident Evil: Degeneration, Destroy All Humans!), Ben Lepley (Puyo Puyo Tetris, Lost Ark, Shin Megami Tensei V) and Bruce Barker (Injustice 2, Fallout 76, Resident Evil: Village, Red Dead Redemption 2).
"We're so fortunate to work with a voice cast with the talent and grace to absolutely nail Neon White's unique tone. It's edgy, campy, funny, and surprisingly earnest, all encapsulated in Steve Blum's pitch-perfect performance as our cool and charmingly clueless protagonist White. It's been a joy to watch this incredible team of actors and actresses bring Heaven's outlandish residents to life with both a sense of humor and a familiar warmth."
