Frozen Codebase Founded And Xbox 360 Approved

Frozen Codebase announced it is now an approved developer for the X360. Led by President Ben Geisler, who worked on titles such as Quake 4, X-Men Legends and Soldier of Fortune 2, Frozen Codebase consists of veterans from Raven Software, Radical Entertainment, GarageGames and Astral Entertainment.

'Half-Life 2: Episode 2' Delayed Until Summer 2007

In an interview with C&VG, Valve's Doug Lombardi confirmed that the next chapter in the episodic FPS series, Half-Life 2: Episode 2 is suffering a further delay and will not get released early 2007, but is now scheduled for release in summer 2007. Assumingly the pushing back has to do with extra time needed to polish the game, considering it comes with Portal and Team Fortress 2.

'Lost Planet' (X360) Multiplayer Demo Coming Nov. 23 - Screens

'TES IV: Oblivion - Knights of the Nine' (X360/PC) Gets Release Date and Price

The retail version of Knights of the Nine is a collection (for PC) that includes Knights of the Nine plus all the other DLC released to date. The expansion itself will be available on Nov 21 through either Xbox Live Marketplace, 800 points, or downloadable for PC at $9.99. The retail launch edition will launch Dec. 4, and cost $19.99, unfortunately a full Xbox 360 retail package is not planned for now, but is an option that is being looked into.

Sony Sells 40 Million PlayStation 2 Units in Europe

Sony Europe today announced that they've sold 40 million PlayStation 2 units in Europe and PAL territories, surpassing the PS1's 39 million mark. PlayStation 2 has over 2,000 titles available throughout Europe, with another 50 due for release in time for Christmas. In the previous month, over 100,000 units were sold per week, according to SCEE President David Reeves.

'Titan Quest: Immortal Throne' Revealed

The latest PC Gamer issue revealed that Iron Lore is working on a Titan Quest expansion, featuring 30 new quests, 20 new monsters, an increased level cap of 75, a new "Dream" mastery, eight new classes, etc. It's currently scheduled for early 2007.
