CDV has signed a co-publishing agreement with Enlight Software to release three PC strategy titles in North America this year, Glory of the Roman Empire, Hotel Empire 2 and Seven Kingdoms: Conquest.

Medieval II: Total War, the 4th installment of the franchise, takes strategy genre to a whole new level with the most epic and cinematic 3D battles ever seen on PC. After last weeks first screens, here are yet another new batch.

A fire ripped through downtown New York on Saturday and reports indicate that the complex houses Take Two subsidiary 2K Games and Global Star. According to CBS the fire started late Saturday night in the building, which houses numerous offices for businesses such as American Eagle Outfitters, Prada, Bobbi Brown Cosmetics, the Guggenheim Museum, and of course 2K Games. Located on the 3rd floor, FDNY Chief of Operations said "It was a really difficult fire to fight, lot of hidden voids. It got up into some duct work on the first floor and traveled up to the fourth floor."

Things have been rather quiet since the JoWood/Perception lovers' quarrel, but reliable sources inside Perception say that the title has been cancelled for all SKUs, and the dev team has been let go. The Aussie developer was looking for a new publisher and needed MGM's assistance, which it did not receive. Perception put a January cut-off date on the request, which is about to expire, and the cancellation is due to be officially announced next week. While already revealed some time ago, Ubisoft's PSP exclusive spy action game Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Essentials, which will offer a new and unique gaming experience with a storyline drawn from the series.

In each mission of Faces of War, players will be leading a squad of 6 soldiers in a full 3D environment. Through the decisive European battles of World War II, they will be in command of Allied, Soviet and German troops. With innovative new in-game features, two battles will never be fought the same way.

ActiveXbox claims to have received confirmation from Microsoft that there will be no more backwards compatibility updates through Xbox Live allowing you to play Xbox titles on the new Xbox 360, until at least March. "This will come as a disappointment to many new Xbox 360 users, not only because the lack of new 360 titles but also any new plain Xbox titles they may like the look of (Black for example) will not work on their shiny new 360. It is no wonder less Xbox games are being sold now."
