2K Games announced today an exclusive worldwide agreement with Sony Pictures to publish and distribute current generation console video games based on the highly-anticipated The Da Vinci Code film by Oscar winning director Ron Howard, which is based on Dan Brown's best-selling novel. The games are being developed by The Collective.

Back in September Ubisoft announced a Prince of Persia title was in the works for the PSP, and today its final name has been revealed. Prince of Persia Revelation, developed by Pipeworks, builds on last year's console success, Prince of Persia Warrior Within, and features original content such as additional puzzles, new maps and redesigned levels.

EA Signs 'The Simpsons' (Rev/PS3/X360) License Agreement

EA, Twentieth Century Fox TV and Gracie Films today announced a long-term deal that grants EA development rights to multiple videogame titles based on the The Simpsons. Working closely with the television studio's Licensing and Merchandising division, Gracie Films and The Simpsons writers, EA will create original 'Simpsons' game content for next gen consoles.

EA's Revenue & Profit Drops In Second Quarter

EA today announced its financial results for the second quarter ended September 30, 2005. While Madden NFL 06, several of its sports titles, Burnout Revenge, and The Sims 2 Nightlife each sold over a million copies, net income, earnings and profit were all down compared to the same period last year. EA also confirmed FIFA 06, Madden NFL 06, NBA Live 06, Need for Speed Most Wanted and Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 06 are ready for the Xbox 360 launch.
