Activision, Inc. announced today that it has launched a completely new and updated website at www.activision.com. The site has been redesigned to most effectively integrate the communications needs of Activision's customers, business partners and associates. The site offers easy navigation so that visitors can check out the latest information on Activision's upcoming games, as well as learn more about the company. The website will also enable Activision's regional offices in the United Kingdom, France, Germany and Asia/Pacific to localize and customize the website's home page, game branded web pages and game promotions, searches and results.

SEGA Announces 'Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg'

"Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg" is currently in development under the direction of SEGA's renowned Yuji Naka, the creator of SEGA's world-famous Sonic The Hedgehog series.

Sony Announces New PS2

Sony have revealed that a new PS2 version is currently in production and will be released in Japan May 15th. This new version will support playback of recordable DVD formats, and will boast improved DVD playback. A new DVD remote is also planned, which allows you to power the unit and open the disc tray! European and US release date not available yet!

In Devastation's single-player adventure, players assume the identity of a character named Flynn Haskell, an atypical anti-hero who rises up to become the leader of a radical resistance team fighting for humanity. Chaser is a first person shooter, built on the high-end 3D engine (CloakNT), in which main character passes through real environments and uses real weapons.. John Chaser is the main character of the game. The player plays Chaser who awakes on a space station and remembers nothing from his past. Shortly after he awakes a commando team starts to hunt him down but he doesn't understand why. He, with a player's help, escapes the station and starts to collect information about his past, looking for answers to the questions of what he really is and why so many people want to kill him.

LucasArts & Sony Online Entertainment today announced Dantooine as the tenth planetary environment for Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided, the highly anticipated first installment of the upcoming massively multiplayer online game series. Nintendo Has Cut The Royalty Rates On GameCube Software

Nintendo has cut the royalty rates on GameCube software in a move aimed at encouraging third-party publishers to bring key titles to the platform, and will focus more heavily on third-party software at E3. The company, which last week announced that it had missed its 2002 shipment targets for the Cube by a massive 44 per cent, selling only 5.6 million units, admitted that major third-party titles such as Grand Theft Auto were completely overshadowing its own major franchises such as Mario and Metroid.

P.N. 03, directed by Shinji Mikami, is described as an action game starring a female soldier named Vanessa Z. Schneider. She's a mercenary armed with a high-powered laser--and she's a robot killer. Robots at a colonial settlement have gone wild on a nearby planet, and it's up to Vanessa--whose parents were killed by the same system overrunning the settlement--to stop them. Not much is known about the game's action, but it is described as containing dodging capabilities and transforming mechs. The game is due to hit Japan in spring of 2003.
