G3 Studios, a developer and publisher of video games for handheld devices, Pocket PC and other platforms, today unveiled its first title, "Black Jack Pro," scheduled for release later this month. It marks the first title in a series of video games specifically designed and developed for handheld devices, such as the Pocket PC platforms and Sharp Zaurus.

Yesterday we tossed up the news about Westwood was working on a patch for Command & Conquer Renegade, and now it´s out! This patch updates the C&C Renegade demo to version 1.06, fixing some networking issues and making it easier for you to tweak your network settings. Grab this 446.7 KB patch from FilePlanet or from our ftp HERE.

Important: If you get a "connection refused" error after installing this patch, it means you're trying to connect to a server that's still running the old version of the demo. Try another.

G1 Jockey puts players in the role of a rookie jockey in the world of horseracing, competing against rival jockeys and racing for their very own trainers. In the story mode, players can compete over the course of a full year and attempt to become a top jockey, while battling off fierce competition from their rivals. The Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds site is updated with a new concept art gallery for the recent announced "expansion" Clone Campaigns. Expected to release in May on the PC, Clone Campaigns is inspired by the large-scale battles in Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones, as well as the classic and expanded Star Wars universe.

Today the official Ages of Athiria website has been updated with a new newsletter, new concept images, the first race is revealed "called the High Elves" and a interview with Michael Sigler, talking about the game's artwork. Ages of Athiria is a next generation massively multiplayer persistent online world (MMPOW) game, currently under development by Elysian Productions. Bring me there!

Microsoft Corp. denied it is building the "HomeStation'', a rumored living room entertainment hub industry watchers have speculated could combine the software giant's Xbox video game console with digital video, music and Internet functions. HomeStation rumors were sparked last September by a report in PC Format magazine that such a device would cross the Xbox with a PC and boast a bigger hard drive, audio and video technology and a wireless connection.

Dan Cermak from Westwood tossed up some news in the official forums for the FPS, C&C: Renegade, regarding the release of the patch that will hopefully solve the lag problems. Here is a snip from his posting;

We worked late into the night to get this corrected and expect to have a new demo and a patch up today. Be assured that the problem is not in the network code or in the game, we simply did not set enough limits in reqards to who could host the game. I apologize for any problems or issues this may have caused.
