PC Review - 'Dark Age of Camelot: Trials of Atlantis'

by Mark Crump on Nov. 11, 2003 @ 1:21 a.m. PST | Filed under Reviews

Trials of Atlantis will introduce the ability for players to swim to explore the submerged civilization. The expansion reveals that the citizens of Atlantis, foreseeing the demise of their society, built a series of Trials into the ruins of their civilization. The Trials were designed to challenge future cultures that discover and seek to explore the ancient lands. Our resident DoAC guru had a chance to get a virtual tour guided by the able hands of Mythic Ent. As an MMORPG requires days, if not weeks, of playing in order to make a fair and accurate review, a few days into the game, this should be considered a "first impression", a full review to come soon ...

GBA Review - 'Boktai: The Sun Is In Your Hand'

by Justin on Nov. 11, 2003 @ 12:48 a.m. PST | Filed under Reviews

The story of the game follows Django, a vampire hunter who must venture through deep, dark dungeons to rid the world of evil demons. His ability to hunt down vampires during the day is far superior to his ability to hunt them down at night. Conversely, vampires are weaker during the day and much stronger by night. Boktai is the first game to integrate light and real world conditions into the adventure's storyline. In Boktai, the amount of time that the player spends with the game in the sun will have a direct impact on the hero's powers, the strength/weakness of the enemies and consequently, the overall outcome of the game.

Developed with the show's writers as a 'lost episode' from season 5, Chaos Bleeds involves an unraveling tale in which a dimensional bleed has been enabled by Pure Evil to consume humanity once and for all. It's up to Buffy and her friends to stop it all from happening...again!

PS2 Review - 'Starsky and Hutch'

by Hank on Nov. 10, 2003 @ 1:41 a.m. PST | Filed under Reviews

Following the style of the TV show the game won't just simply be another driver/shooter. In each level you'll have to maintain viewer ratings (VR) that acts like a timer. Saunter around Bay City carefully obeying the speed limit and people will switch off with boredom; reproduce the over the top driving of the cult duo performing corner slides and ploughing through every cardboard box infested alley that gets in the way and your ratings will soar.
