World of Warcraft is an online role-playing experience set in the award-winning Warcraft universe. Players assume the roles of Warcraft heroes as they explore, adventure, and quest across a vast world. A Dreamcatcher Europe community rep has put a post in the official forum that we can expect a new Painkiller patch later this week. Even though it is for the French version, we expect the English version to be available at the same time. People Can Fly is finalizing the v1.35 patch which will include the usual bug and crash fixes, but also the dedicated server update, and more importantly, the PainED SDK editor so people can start modding away. A full fix list is promised for tomorrow, and we will of course have the patch on our fileservers as soon as it becomes available.

Microids is working on an all new murder/adventure game "Still Life". Using an updated Syberia engine, "Still Life" lets you play the role of FBI agent Victoria McPherson. Situated in Chicago, you are on the heels of a serial killer, much like your grandfather did 60 years earlier in Prague (Microids' Post Mortem). By means of flashbacks and timewarps, you will travel to locations like Eastern Europe to interrogate suspects, or North America, to scrutinize dead bodies.

Namco announced details today for the highly addictive Arcade Mode in Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War, the company’s highly anticipated premiere aerial combat game. Def Jam Fight For NY has gone gold for the PS2, Xbox and Nintendo GameCube. The game will ship to retail stores nationwide on Monday, September 20, 2004. Def Jam Fight For NY thrusts players onto the mean streets of New York amidst a brutal battle for control of the city’s hip hop underground. Eidos today announced the development of the first-person action shooter Project: Snowblind. The game puts players in the role of an elite super soldier, fighting on the front lines of a near-future war using unique weapons, abilities and high-tech gadgetry that inject depth and variety to gameplay. Currently in development by Crystal Dynamics, Project: Snowblind places unique emphasis to its intensive multiplayer and online play modes and will be available for the PS2, Xbox and PC this Winter.
