Nintendo Wii Will Have No Online Subscription Fee

In an interview with USA Today, Nintendo's Reginald Fils-Aime stated that : "We will offer online-enabled games that the consumers will not have to pay a subscription fee for. They'll be able to enjoy that right out of the box. The Wii console is going to be Wi-Fi enabled, so essentially, you'll be able to plug it in and go. It won't have hidden fees or costs."

HanbitSoft To Support 'Hellgate: London' Multiplayer

Flagship Studios and HanbitSoft, Inc. have announced a new joint venture which will manage all aspects of hosting online games. Ping0 recently entered an agreement with Namco to digitally distribute, host and manage Hellgate: London's online component.

UK's Games Market Europe Show Cancelled

Seems not only E3 is feeling the heat, as today Games Market Europe rganizer announced that the only remaining UK trade show is no more. Scheduled to take place at the Business Design Centre in Islington on September 6th and 7th, the organizers tried to fill the gap after competing ECTS and ELSPA events left eachother paralyzed. After earlier this year E3 virtually got cancelled, GME representatives stated "As industries evolve, so do the events that serve them."

From Software's Armored Core 4 will allow players can create their own original mech by switching components such as the head, arms, and legs of the mech's body, with a few hundred components to choose from, including changing its color to give it an exclusive looks. By accepting and successfully completing missions, the player can purchase even more powerful parts to make his mech stronger.

'Prey 2' Already in Development

In an interview with Next Generation, CEO Scott Miller revealed that 3D Realms, and maybe a 3rd party developer, are already working on the sequel to its 3D sci-fi FPS Prey. When asked what his company is currently working on, Scott replied "Prey 2, of course! We are addressing concerns about combat, as well as adding in more gameplay innovations."
