Vivendi Universal Games is pleased to announce that SWAT 4: The Stetchkov Syndicate, the expansion pack to SWAT 4 -- one of the highest-rated PC shooters of 2005 -- has gone gold and will ship to retail outlets in North America on February 28.

Sonic Riders integrates extreme sports, high-speed racing and head-to-head battles, and offers a new racing experience with Sonic. Sonic Riders is slated to ship in March 2006.

Atari will release a one level singleplayer demo for its time-controlling FPS on Monday January 30. In the Timeshift demo you need to infiltrate a heavily guarded building in order to make contact with a rebel on the top floor. We will of course have it on our fileserver network as soon as it's released.

Based on the blockbuster apocalyptic series by Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins, Left Behind: Eternal Forces is an RTS game allowing you to join the Tribulation Forces and participate actively in the battle of good versus evil. In order to release a first-rate game that will compete at the highest level with other mainstream RTS titles on the market the title will now launch the second half of 2006.

Dreamlords is an MMORTS game currently in development over at Lockpick Entertainment. Scheduled for 2006, Dreamlords is a persistent world in which victories and hard work will not pass unnoticed. Everything gained will make the player stronger for the next encounter.

On Tuesday, January 31, LucasArts will release a large dose of premium, meaning for not free but a small fee, content for owners of the Xbox version, downloadable via Xbox Live.

Originally scheduled for Feb 2005, then signed by the now defunct Digital Jesters, Widescreen Games' white water rafting and kayaking game Wild Water Adrenaline is finally scheduled for release Q1 2006, to be published by Nobilis.

Commandos Strike Force takes you right into the heart of the action from a first person perspective. Take control of the three members of the 'Strike Force' unit, each with their own play style. However, it is up to you how you execute plans of attack by combining the Commandos' unique skills.

Back in December Vivendi revealed that it would include Even Balance's anti-cheat protection, Punkbuster, in the new patch, a much requested feature by the community. A couple wees ago Vivendi's Community Manager Greg revealed that the F.E.A.R. v1.03 patch was coming soon, but so far is a no show. Earlier today Greg gave an update, "I am very happy to report that the patch is nearing completion and contains many sizeable enhancements and features. In a short period of time we will be able to reveal the full details of the patch."
