'Painkiller' - Site Revamped & Demo Date

Dreamcatcher sent out word that they have revamped the Painkiller website, People Can Fly's upcoming First Person Shooter. To get your fill of gameplay movies soaked in bloody, squishy footprints, never before seen renders of vicious, hungry monsters, heart-stopping sound-files, the full, entirely gruesome storyline and the first opportunity to PRE-ORDER (More info on pre-order campaign coming next week). The Painkiller website also mentions that the official Painkiller Single-Player Demo will be released Feb 16th, but it seems the full game has been slightly delayed until April 12th.

Encore/Digital Jesters (UK publisher) have released the demo for Digital Reality's RTS/Action game 'Desert Rats vs. Afrika Korps'. The demo contains one of the missions from the scenario part of the game where you play as the Germans, helping the Itlians hold a position and then overrun an Allies base. Akella announces the agreement with CDV Software that Akella aquires publishing rights for Avalon Style's role-playing first-person shooter Sabotain: Break the Rules. The long awaited Sabotain: Break the Rules is a futuristic FPS/RPG based on the idea of mission-oriented adventure with varied interactions with people and places as well as varied mission types, including sabotage, infiltration, rescue, intelligence-gathering, thievery, reconnaissance, assassination, and all-out combat. Role-playing system allows characters to develop themselves by gaining experience and spending it to improve skills and attributes.

Acclaim Europe Signs 'Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance' (PS2/Xbox) - Screens

Acclaim Entertainment today announced that they have reached a distribution agreement with Avalon Interactive for the forthcoming release of Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance II in the UK, France, Benelux and Germany. The game, which was developed by Black Isle Studios under license from The Hasbro Properties Group, will be available on the PlayStation2 and the Xbox on February 6, 2004.
