Sierra Entertainment, Inc. today announced that the Tribes Aerial Assault videogame has shipped to retailers nationwide. Created exclusively for the PlayStation2, the Tribes Aerial Assault game is one of the first to use Sony Computer Entertainment America's network adaptor for PlayStation 2 for online play over the Internet, allowing up to 16 players from around the world to compete with, and against, each other in the same game.

The premise of the game is simple… Eat or be eaten. Assume the role of an animal in its early stages of development. But, in the harsh reality of nature, this creature has no parent to coddle and protect it. From the moment the game begins, your creature is on its own to fend for its life. As your animal instincts take over, you will boldly traverse hostile environments, savagely stalking your prey and asserting your place in the animal chain of power. Will you have what it takes to become the new king of the beasts? This is absolutly one of the weirdest games i have ever seen .. check the screens and judge for yourself!
