The fast, furious hockey action that has made 989 Sports' NHL FaceOff franchise a hockey heavyweight returns loaded with all the thunderous checks and precision passing and an even more savvy computer when NHL FaceOff 2003 hits the ice for the PlayStation 2 on October 15. Japan-based videogame publisher Kemco, announced the launch of its U.S. website. Publishing and developing games since 1984, Kemco teams are currently creating games for GameBoy Advance, GameCube, the PS2 and the Xbox. Kemco’s current projects include Batman: Dark Tomorrow and Woody Woodpecker In Crazy Castle 5, both due out in Q1 2003. Batman: Dark Tomorrow, the first-ever Batman next gen console videogame to be based on the DC Comics license, is promising to feature the Dark Knight Detective he’s never been seen before. Global Star Software announced that they have begun shipping their latest addition to their acclaimed SAR series, Search and Rescue: Coastal Heroes. Coastal Heroes will include all the ultra-realistic helicopter flight and rescue operation simulation that has made previous SAR games so successful, while offering vastly improved graphics that feature a fully upgraded 3D engine from Renderware, all new missions and environments, and brand new game features that will make Coastal Heroes the most exciting and realistic Helicopter Rescue simulator ever released.

EA released some more details on the stand-alone demo for Medal of Honor Allied Assault Spearhead, the new expansion pack for Medal of Honor Allied Assault. The demo will be available Nov9, 2002 and can be found on the Medal of Honor Allied Assault website. The downloadable demo will feature the multiplayer level Malta, a level exclusive to the demo and not included in the full version of the game. Also included will be the Tug-of-War map Druckkammern. The Tug-of-War mode will allow players to compete in team-based combat to seize a set number of control points. The demo will also include four new skins for British, Russian, American and German troops as well as unveiling a new exclusive axis weapon (thanks Voodoo).

Ubi Soft Entertainment today announced that 'Battle Realms: Winter of the Wolf', developed by Thousand Oaks, CA based Liquid Entertainment, has shipped. Winter of the Wolf, co-published by Ubi Soft Entertainment and Crave Entertainment, is rated "T--Teen" for the PC.
