The latest of Japanese magazine Famitsu reveals that From Software is working on a new installment in the Tenchu franchise. After the rather disappointing Tenchu Z, developer K2, who has been acquired by SEGA, has been replaced by Acquire, responsible for the first two installments in the series. No further details were mentioned, but chances that the Wiimote will be used are great, and it is currently scheduled for release in Japan on Oct. 23.

Electronic Arts announced it has acquired ThreeSF,, a social network for gamers started by Napster founder Shawn Fanning. Financial terms were not disclosed. More information about EA's plans for ThreeSF will be available in the weeks ahead.
