Atari acquired Cryptic Studios, it revealed that the MMO developer was not only working on Champions Online and Star Trek Online, but also an unannounced title. While there are still no details regarding that third title,
Variety's Chris Morris claims that it might be based on the popular Neverwinter Nights RPG series, originally released in 2002 (Bioware) with a sequel in 2006 (Obsidian). In the past, Atari revealed that it would revive some of its old franchises, which would certainly fit with this rumor.

While Obsidian is feverishly working on patching the various bugs and issues with Neverwinter Nights 2, it seems they are also working on an expansion pack. In an
interview with Gamebanshee, Obsidian producer Ryan Rucinski hinted at what may be the first details of an expansion pack for Atari's RPG sequel. Answering the question about a possible addon, Ryan said "I personally would want epic levels, new races, new classes, more beasties, more crafting... I could continue to speculate, but hopefully soon, I won't have to. "
