Buena Vista Games and Epic Games today announced an agreement to license Unreal Engine 3 for multiple next-generation BVG projects. The first game under the agreement is based on the popular "Turok" franchise, and will be developed by BVG's new Propaganda Games studio in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Blizzard has released yet another new Warcraft III map, this time called "Banewood Bog"... Map info: "For years the mages of Moonbrook have debated, "If a brave warrior falls in a forest with no one to hear it, then does it make a sound?" This is a small map size and the suggested no. of players is 1v1, or 2v2. It is based on the "Village Fall" tileset.

SteamPowered website has been updated with details regarding the latest update for its online delivery system Steam. This release includes a number of very specific CPU and memory footprint optimizations brought over from the Half-Life 2: XBOX development codebase. The release also includes all of the engine groundwork to enable the Day of Defeat: Source launch that will happen Monday, September 26 at 3:00 PDT. Just restart Steam for the effects to take place.
