During E3, Activision started a Guess The City Contest, in which the public tried to "guess" the urban setting for the True Crime sequel. That contest ended June 16, 2005, and we now have the first tidbits of information on the True Crime sequel. The city of choice is New York, there's a new main character Marcus (a black cop, as opposed to the Asian American Nick Kang in the original), and it will be more violent than its predecessor. All the footage in the contest trailers was taken from the New York setting, and this time around, you will not only have various cars and trucks at your disposal, but also be able to jack and ride motorcycles. The game also seems to sport various types of interrogation techniques reminiscent of the recent Punisher title.

GameFront, the newest issue of GameInformer will have the first info on NeverSoft's upcoming mystery title Gun. During E3, Activision only released teaser material without giving away any clues about the title, but now the first details are trickling through. Gun will be a GTA-style game, set in the West in the 1880s, in cities such as Dodge City and Las Vegas (

The game will also feature plenty of Western celebrities such as Wyatt Earp, Billy the Kid, Bat Masterson, Mysterious Dave Mather, Doc Holliday, Dirty Dave Rudabaugh, Jesse James, and Hoodoo Brown. The murderous 'Dodge City Gang' has been on a rampage and you seek revenge, hunting them down between Indians and Mexican pistoleros. Main mode of transportation is any horse you can find or steal, and of course, Gun will include high speed "horse" pursuits. Already in development for quite a while, Gun is scheduled for a fall 2005 release.
