Today we tossed up a bunch of screens from this squad-based tactical shooter sequel, Rainbow Six: Raven Shield , that is in the works at Ubi Soft Montreal and Red Storm.

Ubi Soft updated the official Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Raven Shield website with a full transcript of their first developer chat log. The chat log was posted on the German Raven Shield website and has Mike McCoy (Lead Game Designer), Joel Trembley (Programmer) and Chadi Lebbos (Producer) discussing aspects such as online play, gameplay modes, and player interaction with in-game characters. While the chat log was conducted on the German section of the website its been translated into English. Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Raven Shield follows Team Rainbow as they try to retrieve a cache of biological weapons while stopping a London bank from being terrorized. The game makes its debut this fall on Xbox & PC.

The people over at ELiTeD tossed up an interview with the Raven Shield team, Chadi Lebbos: Producer, Mike McCoy: Lead Designer, and Eric Begin: Lead Programmer. Here is a clip from it:

Will there be smarter AI than past Rainbow Six games?

Absolutely! We've put a lot of effort into all aspects of the AI. Your teammates work with you to cover your flanks and accomplish the mission. Terrorists work together as a team to defeat you. Finally, hostages react to being rescued and the anticipation of gunfire.

E3 is over, the hype around Raven Shield is getting bigger. E3 was awesome for Raven Shield, the press and fans that came to the booth were really excited from what they have seen in the single demo version and multiplayer. We had people playing for hours on the multiplayer station, and always wanting more. Let me tell you that we saw HUGE smiles on peoples face once they tried it, that's just cool! Is the new equipment in Raven Shield actual equipment in use today? (The heartbeat sensor goggles, and the thermal imaging scope)

All the equipment available to TR6 exists in some form. Wheter or not it is available on a weapon platform or stand-a-lone is a game decision.

Ubi Soft Entertainment, one of the world's largest videogame publishers, today announced plans to develop and publish the next installment of the best-selling Rainbow Six series of games with Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Raven Shield.
