The Darkfall Team would like to announce the Darkfall Dungeon Design competition and invite our readers to participate.

"Design a dungeon located in the human kingdom of Mercia, and - assuming you win - we'll build it, fill it with monsters, and create the in-game quests, rumors and lore associated with it. You will receive full credit for your work, and we'll even publish your original description as an in-game book. Some of you might receive more assignments and/or offers from us based on the quality of your submission".

Darkfall Online tossed up a new section to the site, the Dev Letters section where they communicate what they feel needs to be said. The first of their dev letters features a long overdue message from the Darkfall team to the Darkfall community.

Razorwax are proud to present the new Darkfall site (thanks Tasos).. The new site offers new screenshots, new renderings, an overhauled FAQ, updated key features, updated Human race descriptions with new character models, a new lore section, selected monster descriptions with illustrations and a short team description.

Claus Grovdal from Razorwax AS let us know that they just updated the Darkfall site with four screenshots featuring the Darkfall Worldbuilder - the inhouse developed toolset they use to make the Darkfall world come to life. You can find the screenshots here.

Stratics Central has opened a Darkfall site today! For the opening of the site Razorwax has provided them with an exclusive video showing the dwarf walk cycle animaton! After razorwax released the screenshots featuring the Dwarf Character Model yesterday, they received lots of both praise, criticism and questions from the Darkfall community, on their boards, in emails and on IRC. Today the official site for Darkfall got 2 new screenshots from the pre-alpha version. Todays screenshots feature an early version of the male dwarf character model, and the Darkfall backpack (inventory). You can find the screenshots here.

Yesterday Razorwax held an unannounced spycam event, with a webcam taking pictures of a PC running Darkfall Pre-Alpha. The webcam took pictures every 60 seconds from different locations of the Darkfall Pre-Alpha mini-world. Check out webcam pictures from the event here.

These screenshots feature an updated version of the Darkfall environment module. Interface turned off for your viewing pleasure.. Today we got two screenshots from 'DARKFALL' showing the Human town Redburg. Redburg is a small frontier town close to the border of the Mahirim Plains. At the start of Pre-Alpha we had some serious crash bugs, but 99% of all those bugs have been found and fixed. The game has now been up and running for about 3 months without any server crashes, and we have had about 20 testers helping us out (thanks a lot guys!).
