While Epic Games' Gears of War trilogy concluded with GoW3 last year, GameInformer has teaser image strongly indicating that a new title in the franchise is going to be announced at Microsoft's E3 2012 press briefing on Monday at 9:30 PST/12:30 EST. The teaser image shows a Marcus Fenix type figure in chains being led by Gears infantry soldiers with familiar looking airborne enemies in the far background. Fans familiar with Gears Of War will remember that the first title started off with Marcus escaping jail, thus indicating that the new title may very well be a prequel.
