Whatever goes up, must go down, and it has proven to be no different for the WP servers. They've been reliable for many years with only a few minor hiccups, but our luck has run out all at once. One of our file servers went belly-up with a double hard drive failure, our mail server crapped out, and we also decided to move our main web server to a new and faster location. While the first two are being worked on as we speak, we kept the best for last and will be looking into moving WP in the next week or two. No important data was lost, so I guess we should count our blessings.

We watched a little bit of the Grammys last night, with the big winners being Adele and the Foo Fighters, each going home with multiple awards. Adele's 21 album won top honor, but I was shocked to hear that the album name signified her age at the time of the recording. She sure does NOT look anywhere near 21 — more like double that number.
What was really worth watching was the return of The Walking Dead. There was more exciting stuff happening in last night's episode than the first seven installments of the second season. Now let's hope that the writers can keep this going. Maybe we'll be able to forgive them for the weak sauce earlier in the second season.

Whitney Houston, eh? Can't say it comes as a big surprise, but it's still a loss. Like a lot of people, I stopped caring about her antics many years ago. She had some great hits, and I even liked "
The Bodyguard" movie with Kevin Costner. Maybe she'll finally find some peace.

Jason Bourne and
Alias. The movie is not going to break any records, but it was fun to watch and made for an entertaining couple of hours.
