It seems that we were not the only ones who liked
Captain America: The First Avenger, as Cap unexpectedly kicked
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 off the #1 spot this weekend by making nearly $66 million. Granted, the Potter movie is in its second week, and most people who wanted to see it have already done so, but nobody expected the Captain America movie to perform THIS well. Kudos!
Yesterday was rather uneventful as predicted. We had dinner with friends, and then we watched Falling Skies and Leverage.
Been playing quite a bit of The Witcher 2 and enjoying it a lot, but some of the big fights are frustrating and require a bit of trial and error before you figure out what to do.

Yesterday was a perfectly good, lazy day.
All we did was run some errands and grab groceries, plopped ourselves on the couch to watch Torchwood, Burn Notice, Weeds, and finally The Tourist. The last one disappointed a bit with too much talking and a very slow pace. Oh yeah, and we washed all of that down with some ice cream!
Tomorrow we're meeting up with a few friends for an early dinner. Apart from that, we have no plans, so I foresee some more couch time in our future.
Not sure what GamersFirst is up to. There have been some small patches over the past few days, but none seem to fix the (very annoying) lag spikes that have cropped up over the past week or two.

We went to see
Captain America: The First Avenger last night, and we loved it! It sure lived up to the hype, which is always a good thing, and it was surprisingly funny, with lots of stuff blowing up, good special effects and even a little romance (just a tad) for the more sentimental viewers. Adam got to see it earlier this week.
Read his review if you want more details.
For people who have not yet seen it, stay until after the credits. There is the customary extra footage, but this time it's not just "some" Avengers bit, but an actual teaser trailer that shows Iron Man, Thor, the new Hulk (
Mark Ruffalo) and Cap himself, of course.
Apart from that, not much going on this weekend. Maybe We'll go for a hike, watch some
Burn Notice,
Rescue Me, or
The Tourist, which has been lying around for weeks.
