In the bold and often-bloody Dead Space, gamers will step into a third-person sci-fi survival horror experience that promises to deliver the ultimate in psychological thrills and gruesome action. Last month EA Europe shocked horror fans with moving the game's release forward, and the North American release is also ahead of schedule. Originally scheduled for release on Oct. 21, the console versions will launch Oct. 14, with the PC edition to follow on Oct. 20.

Last month SCEA announced a revamped PSP model with a higher quality LCD screens for better picture quality. Shortly thereafter rumors claimed that because of the enhanced screen the battery life would be shorter than the previous PSP model. Sony issued a statement saying that those rumors are incorrect, and while the new PSP screen draws a little more power, its engineers worked to reduce the power consumption of the overall system to even things out.

A listing on the European game rating board PEGI, the ESRB's counterpart, reveals that LucasArts might be working on yet another game in the Indiana Jones franchise. Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings, to be published by LucasArts' European distributor Activision, is supposedly an action game in development for the NDS and PSP. No further details were provided but it is know that LucasArts is working on an untitled Indiana Jones title for X360 and PS3.

Remember that rumble lawsuit that went on between Sony and Immersion? Everybody wondered why Microsoft did not get sued as well, but the software giant cleverly and quietly settled. There was more to it than met the eye: In the 2003 settlement, an odd clause offered Microsoft $15 million if Immersion sued Sony and obtained a settlement, which, they did in 2007. However, Immersion never paid Microsoft, which led to another lawsuit; Immersion agreed to pay Microsoft $20.75 million and enroll in Microsoft's Certified Partner Program.
