Our hearts go out to the people in Japan who were hit by
a huge 8.9 earthquake yesterday about 250 miles from Tokyo. Unfortunately, this was followed by a devastating tsunami that swept away buildings, cars and ships and reached far inland.
The tsunami warning was extended across the Pacific to North and South America. We are currently watching live footage from Hawaii, where it is expected to hit any minute. What was calm water a minute ago has become more active, and the water level has risen.
