To shine a light on the better releases of each month, we have come up with the monthly Spotlight feature. Having scoured the release lists for the upcoming month, we picked the titles that we believe have the most potential to satisfy your gaming needs across all platforms and genres. Without any further ado, here are our recommendations for May 2007.

Silent Hill makes its handheld debut with a brand new adventure that reveals many of the series' most hallowed secrets. Assuming the role of a lone truck driver trapped in Silent Hill while making a routine delivery, players must escape the city's horrific inhabitants and confront the strange hallucinations that have haunted him since childhood.

Final Fantasy Tactics is a fantasy turn-based strategy, ported from the 10 year old PSOne game, but with added features such as new characters, exclusive jobs, and added cinematics. No official announcement yet, but Square Enix plans on bringing it to North America.

To "celebrate the PS3 launch," the PSP will now be sold at £129.99 (£149.99 before) in the UK, and 169 Euros in the rest of Europe, effective May 4. Five new Platinum titles debut at £14.99: Ridge Racer 2, Tekken: Dark Resurrection, Killzone: Liberation, LocoRoco, and MotoGP.
