Activision announced that Attack! Attack! UK is the winner of the Guitar Hero Listening Session at MIDEM 2009. Voted on by a panel of industry veterans, the band beat out over 200 other submissions to have their new single "You and Me," released today featured in an upcoming Guitar Hero game.

Napoleon in Italy is a hex-based strategy gaming set in the Napoleonic era that will soon be forming up and swiftly marching towards gamers. The v1.1 update brings a small number of fixes and AI improvements in a variety of areas including sieges and objective selection.

Activision countersued, asking the U.S. District Court of California to declare Gibson's patent invalid and to bar it from seeking damages, and last Thursday, the U.S. District Court of Central California did just that.

Last week UbiSoft's VP of publishing Jay Cohen resigned indicating that he would be working with a more traditional entertainment company in Los Angeles. Multiple sources have confirmed to Variety that Cohen has now teamed up with the game studio formed by MTV Games and Jerry Bruckheimer Films. Since the announcement of the joint venture back in late 2007, no details have been released what the studio is working on, apart from the fact that Bruckheimer would NOT make any titles based on his movies or TV series, but rather based on original IPs.
