Dissidia: Final Fantasy is an all-new title in the FF franchise, although it's not part of the compilation of Final Fantasy VIII or the Ivalice Alliance. Not a standard RPG, it's labeled a dramatic progressive action title, and Tetsuya Nomura, known for Kingdom Hearts, has signed on to be the game's character designer.

Red Alert 3 takes players on an epic RTS adventure to an alternate future spawned by time travel run amok, featuring a fully co-operative campaign, the series' light-hearted style and classic, action-oriented gameplay. SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Confrontation focuses on online play and the global community and clans that support it, with Tournaments, Clan Ladders, and Leader Boards. European SOCOM will have to wait a bit longer to get into the spec ops multiplayer action, as SCEE has pushed it back until 2009. While not giving any details as to the reason why, the North America version has been plagued by various rippling issues from controls, to connectivity and beyond since its since mid Oct. launch, even with the recent patch.

Ubisoft released its results for the six months ended September 30, 2008, revealing sales for the first six months of 2008-09 were up 31.8%, driven by casual games and its distribution business. In the follow-up conference call, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot confirmed that Assassin's Creed 2 is in development and will be set a few hundred years after the original, most likely the French Revolution in the 1700s.
