Guitar Hero: World Tour will feature vocals, drums, the ability to create your own songs (and upload them on GHTunes), 4 player on/offline co-op, and an 8 player battle of the bands multiplayer mode (4vs4). After recently being dropped by NCSoft, Spacetime Studios acquired the rights to its own space fantasy combat game Blackstar, but since the company is self-funded it was forced to scale down from thirty-two down to sixteen folks in the hopes of developing a pitch, a prototype and another publishing deal.

Konami released its Q1 2009 financial results for the April-June quarter, revealing revenue went up 17% compared to the same period last year, while income jumped 65% dominated by the June 12 release of Metal Gear Solid 4, which has 3 million copies in two weeks. Kojima Productions' stealth action shooter boosted Konami's PS3 numbers from 1.3% last year to 57% this quarter, NDS, PS2 and PSP revenue dropped while Wii and X360 increased.
