Tom Clancy's EndWar is a next-gen strategy game, set on the battlefields of WWIII, that will push the envelope of technology, showcasing unprecedented AI, graphics, physics and animations. UbiSoft Shanghai creative director Michael de Plater revealed that EndWar is likely to come to PC, but probably not earlier than 2009. While EndWar is made specifically for consoles, de Plater said "we're obviously looking at it. A good strategy game is a good strategy game."

Hillcrest Laboratories has asked the International Trade Commission to form a panel to determine if Nintendo has infringed on four of its patents and filed a lawsuit in the U.S. District Court in Maryland. Hillcrest's motion-detecting technology lets users select items on a television screen by waving a handheld device, and while various consumer electronics companies have already licensed its technology, Nintendo has not.

Rockstar is bringing its open-ended crime series to the PC with GTA IV, returning the franchise to New York situated around the Eastern European protagonist Nikolai. The replay editor will record the last 30 seconds of game footage, then let you cut & edit it to share on Rockstar Social Club. The multiplayer count will be increased with a variety of server filters, while the updated gfx engine will support higher resolutions, improved lighting, animations, character and environment detail.
